Jason Bangser picked up a guitar on his ninth birthday, and has been playing regularly since then. He performs throughout Connecticut and New York as a solo artist and with his bands. He is also the guitarist for the University of Delaware Jazz Ensemble I.
Jason is a member of the Bensen-Scott Big Band, and the Westchester Swing Band.
As a studio musician, Jason has provided guitar for TraxFast Recording Studios and performs live with the Carol Miller Band. He served as a longstanding music leader for the global youth organization BBYO, and donates his time and talent to charitable organizations, including the Youth Arts Forum and Sandy Hook Promise, for whom he co-wrote & recorded an original song, “Counting on You.”
Jason also enjoys creating original music and studies under jazz guitarists Phil Forbes and David Bozenhard.
Jason's influences include Django Reinhardt, Stochelo Rosenberg, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jeff "Skunk" Baxter, Terry Kath, and Julian Lage.
